The features of a new battle between the technology giants "Microsoft" and "Google" are beginning to become clear, but this time in artificial intelligence.
And that battle leads the two poles of global technology to compete for the future of search supported by artificial intelligence, especially Robot Chatting Apps.
Microsoft revealed its plans to integrate ChatGPT from OpenAI, which has caused a stir around the world, into the Bing search engine.
On the other hand, “Google” issued a quick announcement to introduce “Bard”, a competitor to “ChatGPT”, and promised to provide more details about the future of artificial intelligence later.
The two companies seek to achieve a new, revolutionary future for search engines, where results look more like short, simple answers generated by artificial intelligence than a collection of links to click on.
Google provoked its "Bard" chat program, by submitting inquiries that looked similar to the "ChatGPT" application, which made a paradigm shift and raised suspicion because of its capabilities.
Microsoft
Microsoft is expected to boost its Bing search ambitions by adding a ChatGPT-like interface that answers questions in a way no search engine has done before.
The most human-like answers may be revolutionary in research, according to a report published by the technical website "The Verge".
ChatGPT brought AI to the conversation last year, and if the Bing integration works as intended, the use cases can really reduce hours of research, spreadsheets, coding, and more.
This is an ambitious move that, if executed well, could put some serious pressure on Google after years of dominating search.
While Microsoft's rapid commercialization of OpenAI models will worry arch-rival Google, how powerful Bing's chat functionality will be will be its top concern.
And while Google has been flexing its AI muscles for years, nothing has wowed the web quite like ChatGPT — even if it's not perfect.
ChatGPT is based on GPT-3.5, a large language model released last year, and Bing's chat functionality is rumored to be based on the yet-to-be-announced GPT-4 model.
What is Bard AI by Google?
Bard is an AI chatbot built using Google's LaMDA technology, which is similar to OpenAI's GPT series of AI language models that help run ChatGPT.
Google says it plans to open access to its "Bard" chat program more widely in the coming weeks.
It also invested $300 million in an AI company, Anthropic, founded by former OpenAI researchers, that researches AI language models and has built a ChatGPT competitor, Claude.
